FULL TIME RV LIVING: Why We Did It

As I type these words on my laptop, I celebrate one week and one day of living in a 1986 Ford Mallard Motor Home.

Our new home is 31 feet long, about 7 feet wide, with a living area, kitchen, bathroom, shower, and bedroom with 2 single beds (and a sleeping area above the cab).
The space is limited and there isn't a heck of a lot of room to move around in with my fiance (big tall Viking guy) and I, our Black Lab Koda, and our rescue Kitty, Miss Scarlett O'Hairball

Did I mention I run my business out of here? Yeah. That too.

We have had to make so many adjustments, coming from living in a house with lots of room to move around in and tons of storage space for all kinds of stuff accumulated throughout the years.

Our new home is cramped, small, and at times it is suffocating...
So why would anyone wish to trade that all in to live in a little 31 x 7 foot box?

Freedom. That's why.
To not be burdened by all of the possessions that were weighing us down for so long.

Have you ever had a closet that you just crammed full of "stuff" you didn't know what to do with? You could close it up after you jammed more stuff in there and think you could just forget about it.... but it was always there in your mind cluttering it up because it was unfinished business.
Then there was that Saturday morning you set aside to clean out the clutter... you organized the papers that you found, threw away things you no longer needed, donated some clothing that no longer fit, organized the items that you could arrange neatly in the closet, and then once the deed was done, you breathed a HUGE sigh of relief (and how many times did you go back to the closet and open it up just to stand there smiling?)
Freedom. Freedom from that little messy corner of your mind that didn't consciously bother you, but was always there, creeping into your happy place.

Imagine that feeling multiplied by a THOUSAND.
That's me right now.
