A Little Balmy Here In the Empire State

SO...
As luck would have it, I was fortunate enough that my day job allowed me a four-day-weekend to spend doing whatever I wished!

Of course I stayed home for most of the weekend and worked on my REAL job, my business; websites, artwork, labels, recipes, packaging, networking, creating, schmoozing, restructuring, etc.... who knew there would be so much involved in such a small operation?

No complaints here, just sharing :)

I love to do this, of course, it is something that keeps my mind occupied, increases sales, and makes me absolutely GIDDY at times!

I had been walking around for a few weeks with recipes in my head, they usually just formulate themselves through all of the researching I do about the effects of various different herbs and oils and butters and such.
I often don't know an exact recipe when I start getting my latest creation under way, it kind of creates itself!

This weekend, it seemed my hands wished to create balms, or salves, or ointments, whichever term suits you... so I got out some ingredients and let the magic begin!

I started quite early in the morning on Friday, drawing and printing and mixing and melting and smelling and sampling (and rubbing all kinds of concoctions on my fiance's skin... he is much too obliging)... before I knew it the clock was telling me it was 7 PM on SATURDAY and I had created 4 new and uniquely individual balms for the skin :)
A gentle balm for babies, one for sore muscles, another for dry skin conditions, and even one for pampering your feet!!

When I realized how much time had passed (of course I slept and ate and went to the bathroom in between)
I couldn't believe it! I was driving to the store and it dawned on me how much I truly LOVE what I do! I also recalled something I had heard awhile back...
When you find what you are absolutely meant to be doing, time will disappear.
I literally lost track of all time and space surrounding me! It was fantastic!

It really is the ultimate high finding your niche in this existence...
It is my sincere wish for all who read this blog to reach that level of joy and contentment and passion in life.
MUAH!

Thank you for sharing in my life experiences!
